Slovenian Academy of Management Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Academy of Management

On 18 July 2026, the Slovenian Academy of Management (SAM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Academy of Management (AOM), one of the world’s largest and most prestigious academic associations in the field of management.

The Memorandum marks an important milestone in the international development of the Slovenian Academy of Management and represents a significant step toward further strengthening the internationalization of Slovenia’s management research and academic community.

The Memorandum was signed on behalf of the Slovenian Academy of Management by its President, Prof. Dr. Metka Tekavčič, who was authorized by the SAM Executive Board to finalize and sign the agreement. On behalf of the Academy of Management, the Memorandum was signed by Marko Vukosavovic, Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Key Areas of Cooperation

The agreement establishes a long-term partnership between the two organizations, focusing on:

  • a shared five-year strategic collaboration roadmap;
  • stronger international collaboration and representation;
  • a connected Slovenian and regional network of management scholars;
  • access to AOM’s global mentorship initiatives;
  • greater international visibility for research and scholarly publications;
  • enhanced member benefits, including discounted AOM membership and other partnership opportunities.

An Important Step for Slovenia’s Academic Community

The partnership with the Academy of Management will create new opportunities for members of the Slovenian Academy of Management to engage in international collaboration, exchange knowledge, advance their professional development, and become more actively involved in the global management research community. It will also enhance the international visibility of Slovenian scholars and their research.

The Slovenian Academy of Management believes that this Memorandum will make a significant contribution to the advancement of management research, education, and international academic cooperation while fostering new joint initiatives and collaborative projects.
