On Tuesday, 9 December 2025, within the framework of the Slovenian Academy of Management Association at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana, we successfully held a debate evening titled:
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF COMPANIES AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS
The December debate evening was dedicated to discussing the importance of corporate social responsibility of companies and other organizations in a time of rapid social and economic change. The introductory speakers, Dr. Rudi Rozman and Dr. Živko Bergant, highlighted key issues of responsible governance, stakeholder influence, and the development of modern business functions. They emphasized that corporate social responsibility is becoming one of the key factors of long-term organizational success, as it requires a balanced consideration of economic, social, and environmental aspects of business operations. The discussion also addressed the importance of transparency, ethical decision-making, and the role of management in building trust among employees, business partners, and the broader society.
As part of the event, a lecture was also given by Lidija Šega and Dr. Dubravka Celinšek within the terminology section, titled Naming and Translational Challenges of Terminology. The speakers presented current challenges in the field of terminology, particularly the importance of appropriate naming and translation of professional terms in the modern business and social environment.
The discussion following the presentations emphasized the importance of cooperation between academia, experts, and practitioners in shaping responsible and sustainable business practices, as well as in developing terminology that supports clear and effective communication within organizations and society.
